Penne With Mushroom And Onion Sauce

Ingredients
  Penne pasta 1 Pound (Diagonal Tubes)
  Olive oil 2 Tablespoon
  Onions 3 Medium, sliced thin
  Crushed garlic 3 Clove (15 gm)
  Rosemary sprig 1
  Sliced mushrooms 1 Pound, sliced (Preferably Wild Shiitake, Oyster, Etc.)
  Water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Parmesan cheese 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Fresh basil 1 Tablespoon (For Garnish)
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
Directions

Following the package instructions, cook penne in boiling water until al dente (firm to the bite).
Drain and set aside.
Meanwhile, prepare sauce.
Heat in large skillet.
Add and cook until onions are soft.
Puree and set aside.
Cook in saucepan until mushrooms are tender, approx.5 minutes.
Add onion puree, pasta, and toss.
