Tomato & Oregano Pasta Sauce
|Olive oil||45 Milliliter (45 Milliliter)|
|Garlic||2 Clove (10 gm), minced|
|Sweet italian sausage||1 Pound, casings removed (455 Gram)|
|Onion||1 Medium, chopped|
|Roma tomatoes||2 Pound, peeled and diced (910 Gram)|
|Red wine||120 Milliliter (1/2 Cup)|
|Tomato paste||6 Ounce (1 Can, 180 Milliliter)|
|Sugar||1 Teaspoon (5 Milliliter)|
|Fresh oregano||45 Milliliter, minced (45 Milliliter)|
Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
Add garlic and stir 1 minute.
Break up sausage with a spoon and cook until lightly browned.
Add onions and tomatoes and cook for 4 minutes.
Mix in wine, tomato paste and sugar.
Reduce heat and simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring frequently.
Stir in fresh oregano and remove from heat.
