Pasta With Smoked Sausage

Smoked sausage and pasta...
Ingredients
  Smoked sausage 1
  Pasta 1 Pound
  Pine nuts 1⁄2 Cup (6.4 tbs)
  Butter 2 Tablespoon
  Salt To Taste
  Pecorino cheese 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

slice the sausage thin - cook in a frying pan on medium - drain off all the fat
boil the pasta according to package
toast the pine nuts in a dry pan - it only takes a few minutes so don't leave it alone
brown the butter in a hot pan - don't leave it to burn! it goes from brown to black in a blink of an eye...

Actually make this dish without the sausage it's better...

I'm not sure why I always think of making this dish when I have sausage that needs to either be cooked or pitched. I hate to waste food so I try to do something with it - I don't really care for smoked sausage - this was just left in the freezer and I figured it was time to use it or loose it... I've been trapped into making this dish a few times in the past and for some reason I never remember that I don't really like smoked sausage with pasta - I'd make the dish just ditch the smoked sausage... :) Nikko
At times we are forced to use up the foods that are lying for a long time in our refrigerator. There are just two options either to throw them or use them. Nikko is just using up the smoked sausage; he is making an easy pasta with smoked sausages. And the toasted pine nuts come as a crunchy surprise. The chef himself is not a fan of this combination but yes, those who like it will actually love them and make again and again.

Smoked Sausage is great in a pot of beans. Gotta post a recipe for Serbian Beans this week-yu'll love them probably your mom makes this type of beans-they are finished with a not so healthy but tasty flour browned in bacon or pork fat. Yep Emeril is right.
