Creamy Stuffed Pasta Shells
|Bulk pork sausage||3 Ounce|
|Finely chopped green onion||2 Tablespoon|
|Finely diced cooked chicken/Finely diced cooked turkey||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Canned chopped mushrooms||3 Ounce (Half Can)|
|Coarsely crushed saltine cracker crumbs||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Chopped parsley||1 Tablespoon|
|Dry white wine||1 Tablespoon|
|Celery salt||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Conchiglioni||8 , cooked, drained, rinsed (Jumbo Macaroni Shells)|
|Mornay sauce||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
1. Crumble sausage into a 1 quart casserole. Add green onion. Microwave at 100% (high) 1-1/2 to 2 minutes or until sausage is browned; stir after 1 minute. Pour off fat. Stir in chicken or turkey, mushrooms, crumbs, parsley, wine and celery salt; blend well.
2. Stuff 2 heaping tablespoons filling into each pasta shell. Place 4 stuffed shells, filling-side up, in each of 2 dishes. Pour Mornay Sauce over shells, coating pasta completely.
3. Cover with vented plastic wrap. Microwave at 100% (high) 4 to 5 minutes or until heated through; give dishes a half turn after 2 minutes. Spoon sauce over pasta before serving. Sprinkle with cheese, parsley and paprika, if desired
