Cherry Parfait

Ingredients
  Cherry gelatin 3 Ounce (1 Box)
  Sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Hot water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Salt 1 Dash
  Milk 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Fresh lemon juice 2 Tablespoon
  Almond extract 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Canned water packed pitted tart red cherries 1 Pound (1 Can)
  Heavy cream 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Dissolve gelatin and sugar in hot water.
Add salt, milk, lemon juice, almond extract, and juice drained from canned cherries.
Freeze until mushy.
Beat until light and fluffy.
Beat in heavy cream.
Fold in cherries.
Pile in parfait glasses.
Freeze until firm.
