Let whipped topping stand at room temperature while preparing parfaits.
Prepare pudding mix according to package directions except use the 1 3/4 cups milk and the cream sherry in place of the liquid called for.
Chill in freezer 10 minutes.
Spoon pudding into each of 6 parfait glasses.
Add a layer of tropical fruit salad to each.
Top with dessert topping.
Chill in freezer till serving time, if desired.
