Everybody loves a Panini! What is so special about a Panini, after all Panini just means grilled sandwich in Italian? You can get them in every rest stop along the freeways in Italy! Yes, that's right and boy oh boy are they good! Prosciutto, mortadella and a dozen other fillings and combinations are all waiting in the deli showcase. This Piggy Panini, filled with crispy bacon, two cheeses, tomatoes and sliced avocado is sure to become a family favorite!
2 Large (hearty, crusty Italian bread)
2 Large, cooked
1 Medium, sliced
2 Ounce (slices)
3 Ounce (slices)
1 Small, sliced
1.Preheat a panini press.
2.Spread butter on each side of the bread.
3.Place bacon,avocado,cheddar and tomatoes in layers on each side of the bread.
4.Make a sandwich by topping with another slice of bread.
5.Grease the panini toaster with olive oil and put the sandwich in it.
6.Toast for 5 minutes till the sandwich is nicely grilled to crispy brown perfection.
7.Cut the sandwich into half and serve warm and cheesy with your favorite condiment.
