Buckwheat Griddle Cakes Or Pancakes

Ingredients
  Sifted flour 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Baking powder 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Baking soda 1 Teaspoon
  Buckwheat flour 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Buttermilk/Sour milk 1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)
  Molasses 1 Tablespoon
  Melted butter/Melted margarine / shortening 2 Tablespoon
Directions

1. Let griddle heat slowly.
2. Sift the flour with the baking powder, salt and baking soda; stir in the buckwheat flour.
3. Pour the sour milk or buttermilk and the molasses into a mixing bowl, stir in the cooled melted butter, margarine or shortening. Add the dry ingredients, stirring only until well blended.
4. Place the batter by the spoonful on the hot griddle. Cook; turn cakes once to brown on both sides.
