Home Made Griddle Cakes

Ingredients
  Sifted all purpose flour 1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)
  Baking powder 2 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Granulated sugar 3 Tablespoon
  Salt 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Egg 1 , beaten
  Bottled milk/6 tablespoon evaporated milk and 6 tablespoon water 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Melted butter/Margarine/fat/salad oil 3 Tablespoon
Directions

Sift together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
Combine egg, milk, and melted butter, and add to dry ingredients all at once, beating with a spoon, or an electric beater, until smooth.
Drop batter from a tablespoon onto a hot griddle, spreading each cake out lightly with the back of a spoon into a circle.
The griddle should be greased or not, according to manufacturers directions.
Cook on one side until puffed, full of bubbles, and cooked on the edges.
Then turn and cook on the other side.
Serve immediately with butter and syrup, or with apple butter, orange marmalade, honey, molasses, etc.
