1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs) (From Day-Old Whole Wheat Other Whole-Grain Bread, Preferably Homemade)
Whole wheat flour
1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
1 , well beaten
Syrup/Other preferred topping
1⁄3 Cup (4.8 tbs)
1. Heat milk and pour over crumbs. Let stand for 15 minutes.
2. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.
3. Add to the crumb mixture with the egg, honey, and oil. Beat until well blended and free of lumps.
4. Bake on a hot, oiled griddle until browned on one side. Turn and brown on other side.
