Scalloped Oysters With Rolled Crackers

  Rolled cracker crumb 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Raw oysters 36 , drained
  Oyster liquor 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Milk 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Butter/Margarine 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄2 Dash (1 Speck)
  Eggs 2 , slightly beaten

Prepare the cracker crumbs, using unsalted soda crackers.
Arrange 1/4 of the cracker crumbs in bottom of a greased 2 qt casserole; then place 12 oysters on top.
Repeat twice making 7 layers in all, with, cracker crumbs on top.
Scald oyster liquor, milk, and butter (add amount preferred) together.
Add salt and pepper, and gradually pour over the eggs, while stirring.
Pour this mixture over the oysters and crumbs, then bake in a moderate oven of 350°F for 1 hr.
