Scalloped Oysters With Bread Crumbs
|Oysters||1 Pint (Select / Large)|
|Light cream||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Soft bread crumbs||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), melted|
|Celery seed||2 Teaspoon|
Heat oven to 375°.
Grease baking dish, 11 1/2 x 7 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches.
Arrange oysters (with liquor) in baking dish.
Pour about half the cream over oysters.
Combine bread crumbs, butter and seasonings; sprinkle over oysters.
Pour remaining cream over ingredients (liquid should come about 3/4 of the way up on oysters).
If desired, sprinkle with paprika.
Bake uncovered 30 to 40 minutes.
