|Butter/Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), melted|
|Crushed salted soda crackers||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Dry bread crumbs||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Shucked oysters||1 Pint (Use Fresh)|
|Light cream/Heavy cream||6 Tablespoon (Or More As Needed)|
Combine melted butter, crushed crackers and bread crumbs.
Place half of crumb mixture in a greased 8 inch square pan.
Cover with oysters, being careful to remove any shells.
Sprinkle lightly with salt and paprika.
Top with remaining crumb mixture.
Combine oyster liquid with cream to make 1/2 cup.
Pour over crumbs.
Dot with butter.
Bake in a preheated 400°F oven 25 to 30 minutes, or until top is nicely browned.
