Rib Steaks, Western Style
|Bacon drippings||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Worcestershire sauce||3 Tablespoon|
|Chopped onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Garlic||1⁄2 Clove (2.5 gm), crushed|
|Bay leaves||1 1⁄2|
|Prepared horseradish||2 Teaspoon|
|Rib steaks||4 Pound|
Mix all ingredients except steaks thoroughly.
Pour over steaks and allow to stand about 30 minutes at room temperature for flavors to blend.
Remove bay leaves.
Lightly grease grill with cooking oil.
Place steaks on grill about 3 inches from coals.
Grill about 4 minutes, or until first side is browned.
Turn with tongs; grill second side about 4 minutes, or until done.
(To test doneness, slit meat near bone and note color of meat.) During grilling, baste frequently with the sauce.
