Creamy Black Forest Cobbler
|Chocolate cake mix||18 Ounce (1 Package, 2 Layer)|
|Butter||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), softened (1.5 Sticks)|
|Confectioner's sugar||4 Cup (64 tbs), sifted|
|Cream cheese||8 Ounce, softened|
|Canned cherry pie filling||21 Ounce (1 Can)|
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Place 1 of the eggs in a large bowl and beat slightly.
Add the dry cake mix and butter; stir until well blended.
Press the cake mixture into a greased and floured 9x13 inch baking dish.
Combine the confectioners' sugar, cream cheese and the remaining 2 eggs in a medium bowl; mix well.
Pour the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cake mixture.
Spread the pie filling evenly over the cream cheese layer.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes or until outer edges are lightly browned and center is almost set.
Chill, covered, until about 1 hour before serving time.
