Bohemian Braided Ring

Ingredients
  Dried yeast 1 Tablespoon (1 Cake)
  Sweet cider 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Lukewarm)
  Milk 1 Cup (16 tbs), scalded
  Honey 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Oil 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Rye flour/Whole wheat flour 4 1⁄2 Cup (72 tbs)
  Eggs 2 , beaten
  Lemon rind 1 , grated
  Mace 1⁄4 Teaspoon, ground
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Seedless raisins 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Nuts 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped
Directions

Soften yeast in cider.
Combine milk, honey and oil, cool to lukewarm and add to yeast mixture.
Beat in half the flour and eggs.
Add rest of ingredients and remaining flour.
Knead until smooth.
Turn into oiled bowl.
Cover.
Set in warm place to rise.; When double in bulk, divide dough in half, and divide each half into 3 pieces.
Shape each piece into long roll.
Oil 2 cookie sheets and put 3 rolls on each.
Braid each 3-roll section and shape each braid into a ring.
Cover.
Let rise until light.
Brush with oil, chopped nuts, ground Roasted Soybeans or sesame seeds.
Bake at 350° F. for 25 to 30 minutes.
