Orange Pecans

Ingredients
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Light corn syrup 1 Tablespoon
  Orange juice 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Butter 1 Tablespoon
  Pecan halves 2 1⁄4 Cup (36 tbs)
  Orange rind 1⁄2 Teaspoon, grated
Directions

Combine sugar, corn syrup, and orange juice in a saucepan; mix well.
Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until mixture reaches soft ball stage (240°).
Remove from heat; stir in butter.
Beat with a wooden spoon until mixture just begins to thicken.
Stir in pecans and orange rind.
Working rapidly, drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper, and let cool.
