Combine sugar, corn syrup, and orange juice in a saucepan; mix well.
Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until mixture reaches soft ball stage (240Â°).
Remove from heat; stir in butter.
Beat with a wooden spoon until mixture just begins to thicken.
Stir in pecans and orange rind.
Working rapidly, drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper, and let cool.
