Candied Orange Peel
|Sugar||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
"Cut peel from oranges in 1/4-inch strips; remove white membrane.
Cover with cold water.
Bring to a boil; drain.
Repeat twice, reserving 1 1/2 cups liquid from last draining.
Combine peel with sugar; add reserved liquid.
Cook for 45 minutes or until just dry, stirring frequently.
Roll in additional sugar.
Place strips on waxed paper to dry."
