Orange Pecan Cookies

Ingredients
  Butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Honey 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), warmed
  Salt 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Egg 1
  Vanilla 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Orange peel 2 Teaspoon, grated
  Whole wheat flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Whole wheat pastry flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Soda 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pecans 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), ground
Directions

Combine and beat thoroughly the butter, honey, salt, egg, vanilla, and orange peel.
Stir together the flours and soda; add to butter mixture and blend.
Add pecans and mix thoroughly.
Chill.
Preheat oven to 375° F.
Press chilled dough very firmly together into a roll 1 1/2 to 2 inches in diameter.
Cut 1/4-inch slices and place on buttered baking sheets.
Wrap remaining dough in double thickness of wax paper, twisting ends tightly, and refrigerate until needed for baking.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
