Baked Orange Sauced Chops

Ingredients
  Pork loin rib chops 4 , cut 1/2 inch thick and trimmed of fat
  Cooking oil 1 Tablespoon
  Brown sugar 1 Tablespoon
  Finely shredded orange peel 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Ground ginger 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Orange juice 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Cornstarch 2 Teaspoon
Directions

In skillet brown chops slowly in hot oil.
Remove chops to 9x9x2-inch baking pan.
Combine sugar, orange peel, salt, and ginger; stir in orange juice.
Pour over chops.
Cover; bake in 350° oven for 45 to 50 minutes or till tender.
Transfer chops to platter; keep warm.
Skim fat from cooking liquid.
Measure cooking liquid.
If necessary, add water to cooking liquid to measure 3/4 cup.
In saucepan combine cornstarch and 1 tablespoon coldwater; add the 3/4 cup liquid.
Cook and stir till bubbly; cook and stir 2 minutes more.
Spoon some sauce over chops; pass remainder
