Spiced Chow Chow
|Green tomatoes||15 Pound|
|Cabbage||5 1⁄2 Pound|
|Hot red peppers||7|
|Salt||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sugar||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
|Mixed pickling spices||1 3⁄4 Ounce (1 Box, In A Bag)|
|Dry mustard||3 Tablespoon|
Grind tomatoes, cabbage, peppers, and onions together.
Put in bag with salt; let drip overnight.
Put vinegar and seasonings in large pot; add ground vegetables.
Let come to boil; cook slowly 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Put in jars; seal.
