Crispy Onion Rings
|Spanish onions||3 Medium|
|All purpose flour||1 1⁄3 Cup (21.33 tbs)|
|Parmesan cheese||2 Tablespoon, grated|
|Parsley flakes||1 Tablespoon, dried|
|Garlic powder||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Beer||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Eggs||2 , separated|
Peel onions, cut into 1/4-inch slices, and separate into rings.
Combine flour, Parmesan cheese, parsley flakes, salt, garlic powder, pepper, beer, 1 tablespoon oil, and egg yolks, beat well.
Beat egg whites (at room temperature) until stiff peaks form, fold into batter.
Dip onion rings into batter; fry in deep hot oil (375°F) until golden brown.
Drain on paper towels.
