Place onions directly on middle oven rack.
Cook in 350Â° oven until onions are tender, 30 to 40 minutes.
Remove skins; place onions upright in serving dish.
Cut each onion into fourths about halfway through; separate slightlv.
Cook garlic in margaiine over medium heat until garlic is golden brown.
Remove from heat; stir in wine.
Stir in cheese and parsley; pour immediately over onions.
