Onions Viennese

Ingredients
  Bermuda onions 2 1⁄2 Pound
  Sherry 2 Tablespoon
  Chopped celery 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Chopped pimentos 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Mushrooms 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Marjoram 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

Peel and quarter onions; cover with water in sauce- pan.
Bring to a boil; drain.
Combine sherry, celery, pimentos, mushrooms and seasonings in bowl; add white sauce.
Blend well.
Combine sauce mixture with onions.
Place layer of onion mixture in buttered casserole.
Sprinkle with crumbs; dot with cheese.
Repeat layers; sprinkle with paprika.
Bake in 325- degree oven for 1 hour.
