Spring Onion Tops

  Spring onions/Scallions 48
  Butter 3 Tablespoon
  Salt To Taste
Directions

GETTING READY
1 Wash the green onions or scallions thoroughly.
2 Remove any damaged green skins.
3 Remove the green onion tops.
4 Dry using paper towels.

MAKING
5 In an iron skillet, put the onion tops along with the butter.
6 Cook over medium heat for 8 minutes, until the onion tops turn brown.
7 Turn them, and lower the heat to medium low.
8 Brown on the other side.
9 Cook for about 10 minutes, until the onion tops become brown and stiff.
10 Transfer to brown paper or paper towel.
11 Sprinkle lightly with salt (optional)

SERVING
12 Serve at once.
