Spicy Baked Onions

Ingredients
  Small boiling onions 2 Dozen (White Variety)
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs), melted
  Brown sugar 1 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ground nutmeg 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Red pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  White pepper 1 Dash
  Chopped toasted almonds 4 Cup (64 tbs)
Directions

GETTING READY
1. Preheat the oven to 375°
2. Grease a shallow 2-quart baking dish

MAKING
3. Tip the onions into hot boiling water and cook the onions for 5 minutes
4. Drain them and place the onions on the prepared tray
5. Mix the remaining 6 ingredients and sprinkle this over the onions and stir gently. Mix well
6. Bake in the hot oven for 45 minutes while stirring through at every 15-minute intervals

SERVING
7. Sprinkle with almonds and serve hot.
