Glazed Squash With Onions
|Acorn squash||3 Medium|
|Cooked tiny onions||2 Cup (32 tbs) (Drained)|
|Broken walnuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), melted|
|Dark corn syrup||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Ground cinnamon||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
1.Cut the squash in two halves lengthwise and remove all its seeds.
2.Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
3.In a baking pan, place the squash with cut side down and bake for 35- 40 minutes.
4.Once done, turn the side up and add a sprinkling of salt to it.
5.Make a mixture of butter, dark corn syrup, 1/4 teaspoon salt and ground cinnamon and drizzle it on the squash cavities.
6.Bake further for 15- 20 minutes until squash is soft.
