Browned Onions In Squash Boats

Ingredients
  Butter/Margarine 4 Tablespoon (1/2 Stick)
  Vegetable oil 2 Tablespoon
  Small white onions 2 Pound, peeled (40 In Number)
  White onions 2 Pound, peeled (40 Small Size)
  Instant beef broth envelope/2 beef-flavor bouillon cubes 2
  Instant beef broth/2 beef flavor bouillon cubes 2 Teaspoon (2 Envelopes)
  Dried parsley flakes 1 Teaspoon
  Garlic powder 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Crumbled thyme 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Thyme leaf 1⁄4 Teaspoon, crumbled
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Squash 1 Cup (16 tbs), steamed
  Steamed squash 1
Directions

MAKING
1 In a large frying pan,melt butter or margerine with vegetable oil;stir in onions.
2 Saute, turning often for 10 minutes, or until golden.
3 Stir in beef broth, parsley, garlic powder, thyme and water; heat to boiling; cover.
4 Simmer for 30 minutes, or until tender.
5 Spoon onions and sauce into steamed squash.

SERVING
6 Sprinkle onions with paprika.(optional)
