ROASTED ONIONS

Ingredients
  Onions 1 Kilogram (Spanish onions)
  Oil 1 Tablespoon
Directions

Trim large Spanish onions, allowing one per person.
Place in buttered oven dish and pour a little oil over the onions,coating well.
Roast in a moderate oven until tender, about 2 hours depending on size.
Sprinkle with vegetable salt 1/2 hour before done.
