Pasta With Anchovy And Onion
|Canned flat anchovies||2 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Olive oil||3 Tablespoon|
|Yellow onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), peeled and diced|
|Garlic||2 Clove (10 gm), crushed|
|Italian gravy/Spaghetti sauce||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Whipping cream/Mock cream||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Freshly ground black pepper||To Taste|
|Pasta||1⁄2 Pound (Cooked Al Dente)|
|Parmesan cheese/Romano cheese||2 Tablespoon, freshly grated (For Topping)|
Rinse the anchovies with lukewarm tap water and place in the milk.
Let them soak for 1/2 hour.
Heat a frying pan and add the olive oil.
Saute the onion and garlic until clear.
Dice the anchovies and add to the pan, discarding the milk.
Cook for 2 or 3 minutes until the anchovies begin to cook apart.
Add the Italian Gravy or spaghetti sauce and cream.
Add black pepper to taste.
Toss with the hot pasta and top with cheese.
