Potatoes And Onions Au Gratin
|Potatoes||8 Ounce, peeled and diced (225 Grams)|
|Button onions||1 Pound (450 Grams)|
|White sauce||3⁄4 Pint (450 Milliliter)|
|Cheese||1 Ounce, grated (25 Grams)|
Cook the potatoes in boiling salted water until just tender.
Meanwhile, cook the onions in another pan of boiling salted water until tender.
Heat the white sauce and season well with salt and pepper.
Drain the potatoes and onions and fold into the sauce.
Turn into a baking dish and sprinkle over the cheese.
Bake in a preheated moderately hot oven (200°C/400°F, Gas Mark 6) for about 20 minutes.
