Oven Fried Onion Rings

Ingredients
  Nonstick spray coating 1 Tablespoon
  Fine dry bread crumbs 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Margarine 2 Tablespoon, melted
  Salt 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Ground red pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Mild yellow onions/White onions 2 Medium, sliced, 1/4 inch thick and separated into rings
  Slightly beaten egg whites 2
Directions

Spray a large baking sheet with non-stick coating.
In a small mixing bowl stir together the bread crumbs, melted margarine, salt and if desired ground red pepper.
Spread crumb mixture on a sheet of waxed paper.
Using a fork, dip the onion rings in the egg whites, then in the bread crumb mixture.
Arrange the coated onion rings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake in a 450° oven for 12 to 15 minutes or till the onions are tender and the coating is crisp and golden.
