Onion Petals

The perfect appetizer for those holiday get togethers and parties or anytime
Ingredients
  Flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Onion powder 1 Tablespoon
  Garlic powder 1 Tablespoon
  Seasoned salt 1 Tablespoon
  Black pepper 1 Teaspoon
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Vedallia onion 1 Medium
  Peanut oil 200 Milliliter (For frying)
Directions

mix 1 cup flour with 1 cup of water
after the batter has been mixed add the seasonings and mix into the batter
cut the onion in half and then cut each half in half (Quarter)
pre-heat your oil to 375 degrees F
peel each layer of of the quartered onion
dip each layer in batter
immerse half of the dipped petal in oil until the batter starts to puff and set (This will keep the onion from sticking to the bottom)
cook 3 to 4 petals at a time
fry until golden brown (about 3 to 5 minutes)
Serve with bleu cheese dip, ranch, sweet mustard, or your favorite sauce
