Potatoes With Onions Au Gratin
|Potatoes||450 Gram, peeled, cut into chunks|
|Butter||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs) (80 ml)|
|Onions||225 Gram, finley sliced|
|Egg||1 , beaten|
|Gruyere/Parmesan cheese||3 Tablespoon, grated|
– Preheat oven to 400 °F (205 °C).
– In a saucepan filled with lightly salted boiling water, cook potatoes, then drain, puree in the food processor and set aside.
– In a skillet, melt 4 tbsp (60 ml) butter and saute onions and add onion mixture to puree. Add egg, season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg and stir mixture.
– Butter a baking dish, then spread puree evenly. Sprinkle with cheese and dot with butter. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden crust forms.
