Boiled Onions

The Boiled Onions is a simple and tasty vegetarian accompaniment for a variety of dishes. Onion lovers like my niece can eat the Boiled Onions alone too! That is up to you but you definitely shouldn't miss out on this simple and straight Boiled Onions recipe!
Ingredients
  Onions 4 Large
  Butter 1 Tablespoon
  Boiling water 500 Milliliter
  Black pepper To Taste
  Salt To Taste
Directions

Skin the onions this can be done under cold water if they tend to make you weep. (Or you could wear a pair of goggles!)
Put the onions into a pot of boiling salted water and cook gently until they are tender.
You can test them by sticking a skewer down the center.
They generally take about 1 hour.
Lift them out of the water and drain well.
