Baked Onions With Herb Butter
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Celery salt||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Parsley flakes||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Dried leaf tarragon||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
1. Place butter or margarine in a small bowl. Microwave at 10% (LOW) 30 seconds or until softened. Add celery salt, parsley and tarragon; mix well. Set butter or margarine mixture aside at room temperature.
2. Wash onions, leaving outer skin intact. Trim top and bottom off each onion. Pierce onions deeply several times with a large fork. Wrap each onion in waxed paper, twisting ends loosely to seal. Microwave at 100% (high) 5 to 7 minutes or until tender; turn onions over and rearrange after 3 minutes. Let stand, wrapped, 2 minutes.
