Smothered Okra

Ingredients
  Onion 1 Large, chopped
  Chopped green pepper 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Butter/Margarine 2 Tablespoon
  Sliced okra/10 ounce package frozen cut okra, thawed 2 Cup (32 tbs), frozen
  Tomatoes 2 Medium, peeled, seeded, and chopped
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Ground red pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Ground black pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
Directions

In a 10 inch skillet cook onion and green pepper in butter or margarine about 5 minutes or till tender.
Stir in okra, tomatoes, salt, red pepper, and black pepper.
Bring to boiling.
Reduce heat.
Cover and simmer for 30 to 35 minutes for fresh okra or about 15 minutes for frozen okra or till okra is tender.
