|Black pepper||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
|Cornmeal||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Fresh okra/One 1/2 10-ounce packages frozen||1 Pound, trimmed and cut into 1/2-inch slices|
Add salt and pepper to cornmeal and mix thoroughly.
Toss okra slices in cornmeal mixture until each piece is well coated.
Fry in hot butter or oil for 15 minutes until okra is tender, crisp and golden brown.
