Polynesian Pork Steaks

Polynesian Pork Steaks is one of my favorites and is packed with the flavors of plums, This Polynesian Pork Steaks is quite a hit among the kids at home. Just give it a try, you will love it for sure.
  Pork steaks 6
  Strained plums 4 3⁄4 Ounce (Baby Food, 1 Jar Of 4.75 Ounce)
  Flaked coconut 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Water 2 Tablespoon
  Vinegar 1 Tablespoon
  Cooking oil 1 Tablespoon
  Soy sauce 2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ground ginger 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Grated lemon peel 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1 Dash

Trim fat from steaks.
In large skillet cook trimmings till about 2 tablespoons fat accumulate; discard trimmings.
Brown the steaks in hot fat.
Season steaks generously with salt.
Combine plums, coconut, water, vinegar, cooking oil, soy sauce, 1/2 teaspoon salt, ginger, lemon peel, and pepper; pour over steaks.
Cover; simmer till tender, 35 to 40 minutes.
Remove meat to warm platter; spoon sauce over.
Makes 6 servings.
