Cheese and Herb Damper is a wonderful Aussie-style bread, perfect for serving with a hearty main meal. Flour is combined with cheese, mixed herbs, milk and butter. Shaped into a loaf and baked until golden, this delicious "soda bread" style loaf is easy to make and even easier to eat - give it a go!
2 Cup (32 tbs)
1 Cup (16 tbs)
1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Mixed dried herbs
2 Tablespoon (I used Italian Mix)
Preheat oven to 190°C.
Mix milk with water and keep it ready.
In a large bowl, sift flour, baking powder, salt and mix well.
Add cheese, herb mix, butter and mix well to get consistency of sand.
Make a well in between and pour milk and mix well.
Knead well and make into round shape.
Make indentation as shown in the video, brush milk over it and pop into oven.
