Epiphany foods are an indispensable part of the Church’s celebrations in honor of the birth of the Christ, his baptism and to offer reverence to Magi. In England, the catholics celebrate the day as the Twelfth Night with preparation of traditional epiphany foods. In Spain, the eve is celebrated widely as the Three Kings’ Day. The day holds tremendous significance for Catholics spread across Germany, Italy, Mexico and Russia as well. The customary Epiphany foods served on this auspicious day are typically spicy. Spice cake is the traditional dessert which is baked in the household of almost every Catholic.
