How To Plan A Gluten Free Holiday Dinner

Here is how to plan a gluten free holiday dinner for your friends, this season and have unlimited fun and good food. Gluten is a protein which is normally found in wheats, which is also added to various foods and acts as a thickening agent. Gluten free holiday menu includes all those foods which are good for your health and you can have them in abundance. Some of these are very easy to prepare and can be made even in half an hour. Here are some holiday foods which you can prepare for your dinner menu.


 


Chicken soup – Start your gluten free holiday dinner with a sumptuous chicken soup. You can use chicken stock, lemon grass stems, grated ginger, cilantro leaves, carrots, curry powder, cooked chicken, shitake mushrooms, green onions, salt and pepper.


 


Fried apples – This makes an unusual gluten free holiday dinner salad dish which is prepared with sliced and cored apples, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmegs, apple juice, brown sugar, honey and melted margarine. The apples are dipped in lemon juice so that they do not get discolored when they are placed on a skillet. Cinnamon powder is later sprinkled on the slices and cooked till they are done, but are not mushy.


 


Salmon with spinach – To prepare this gluten free holiday dinner, you will need salmon, spinach finely chopped, garlic powder, finely chopped onions, pepper and salt. You will need to clean the salmon well and drain it, before you combine spinach. Add your favorite seasonings and mix it well. It needs to be baked for 45 minutes before serving.


 


Pork chops on rice – This makes wonderful gluten free holiday dinner which can be prepared in a very short time. To prepare this dish, you will need pork chops, pre-cooked rice, chicken soup and some orange juice. The pork chops and browned and rice is placed on them. Orange juice is poured over the rice and chops along with chicken soup. The entire dish is baked for 45 minutes. It is uncovered and baked further for 10 minutes, before serving.


 


Tomato sauce with basil for pasta – To prepare this special gluten free holiday dinner pasta, you will need chopped onions, minced garlic, olive oil, diced tomatoes, red chili flakes, vinegar, creamy soup of tomato, chopped basils, parmesan cheese, salt and pepper for taste.


 


Almond cake– Your gluten free holiday dinner will not be complete, till you serve some of the best desserts to your family and friends. Prepare special almond cake with eggs, potato starch, orange juice, cinnamon powder and blanched almonds. You need to bake this dish for 40 minutes and serve it with a bowl of fruit salad for your guests to enjoy.
