Eating a delicious and healthy breakfast couldn't get any easier than this. For years I avoided eating oatmeal in its porridge stage but, who knew? This Apple Pie Oatmeal made me a believer! Simple, delicious, nutritious.... That's my motto! If it is your motto too, you will love this. This little treat will taste sinful but, its totally does the body good. This recipe could NOT be any easier or faster. First you add all the ingredients and leave it to steep overnight! You seriously cant get any quicker than that! And the ingredients again are super simple.
|Unsweetened apple sauce||1/4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Steel cut oat/Rolled oats||1/4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Almond milk||1/2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Fat free greek yogurt||1/2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Apple pie spice||2 Tablespoon (do to your own tastes. I like it spicy!)|
|Vanilla extract/Vanilla bean||1 Tablespoon|
|Green apple||1/2 Cup (8 tbs) , chopped|
1. Into a container with a lid (ball jar, tupperware, etc) pour oats and dry seasonings. Mix well
2. Add wet ingredients to the dry. Mix well
3. Cover with lid and leave in fridge for 8 hours.
4. Add the chunks of apple and enjoy!
