Oatmeal Coconut Crispies

Ingredients
  Shortening 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  White sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Eggs 2
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
  Flour 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs), sifted
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Soda 1 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Oats 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Coconut 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs), flaked
  Nuts 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), chopped
Directions

GETTING READY
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. In a small bowl, using a sieve, sift flour with salt, soda, cinnamon and nutmeg.
3. Grease a baking sheet and keep ready.

MAKING
4. In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, eggs and water.
5. Add flour mixture to butter mixture; blend with folding movements.

FINALISING
6. Using a rounded spoon, drop spoonful of mixture onto the cookie sheets.
7. Bake in preheated oven for 8-10 minutes.
8. Remove over wire rack and let cool.

SERVING
9. Serve warm Oatmeal Coconut Crispies as a healthy snack.
