Ingredients
  Brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  White sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Margarine/Shortening 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Eggs 2
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
  Oatmeal 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Flour 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Soda 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pecans 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
Directions

GETTING READY
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees

MAKING
2. In a large bowl, place the sugars the shortening or the margarine
3. Add the eggs, vanilla, oatmeal and flour to the bowl and mix well
4. Add the pecans to the pan and bake again for 8-10 minutes until brown

SERVING
5. Serve hot or warm

TIP
Add flaky coconut to half the dough for a variation
