Cheese and Oatmeal Snaps
|All purpose flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Quick cooking oats||1 Cup (16 tbs), rolled|
|Butter/Margarine||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Shredded sharp cheddar cheese||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add rolled oats; cut in butter; add cheese and milk.
Mix to form a soft dough.
Turn out on lightly floured board; roll thin and cut with small round cookie cutter.
Bake on lightly greased cookie sheets in preheated moderate oven (375° F.) for about 12 minutes, or until browned.
Serve hot with soups or salads.
