Raisin and Nut Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients
  Baking powder 5 Milliliter
  Baking soda 5 Milliliter
  Salt 5 Milliliter
  Shortening 250 Milliliter
  Brown sugar 250 Milliliter, packed
  Granulated sugar 250 Milliliter
  Eggs 2
  Vanilla 5 Milliliter
  Quick cooking oats 625 Milliliter
  Raisins 125 Milliliter
  Walnut 125 Milliliter
Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
Sift together the baking powder, soda and salt.
Cream the shortening and sugars until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time mixing well.
Blend in vanilla.
Add the dry ingredients to creamed mixture.
Stir in the oats, raisins and nuts.
Shape into balls and place on a buttered pastry sheet 2 inches (5 cm) apart.
Bake 10-12 minutes.
