Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In a large saucepan melt margarine.
Add brown sugar and vanilla; blend well.
Cook for 2 minutes or until bubbly; remove from heat.
In a medium bowl mix oats, sesame seed and baking powder.
Add to brown sugar mixture; mix well.
Butter a 10 x 15-inch baking pan.
Pour in batter.
Bake for 7 minutes or until brown.
Cut into 1 x 2-inch bars.
In the pan chill until firm.
Remove from pan.
