Apple Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients
  Apple 1 Cup (16 tbs), finley unpeeled
  Raisins 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Pecans 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), chopped
  Granulated sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Butter 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Eggs 2
  All purpose flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Baking powder 2 Teaspoon
  Ground cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ground cloves 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Milk 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Quick-cooking rolled oats 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Directions

In saucepan combine apple, raisins, nuts, the 1/2 cup sugar, and 2 tablespoons water.
Cook and stir till mixture is thick and apples are tender, about 10 minutes.
Cream butter and brown sugar till fluffy.
Beat in eggs.
Sift together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and cloves; add alternately with milk to creamed mixture.
Stir in rolled oats.
Reserve 3/4 cup dough.
Drop remainder from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet; make depressions in centers; top each with apple filling and dab of reserved dough.
Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes.
