|Baking powder||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Baking soda||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Ground cloves||3⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Raisins||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Nuts||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), chopped|
Cream sugar, vegetable shortening, and eggs.
Add oats and milk; mix thoroughly.
Combine flour, baking powder, soda, salt, and spices; stir into oat mixture.
Add raisins and nuts.
Drop from teaspoon 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375° for 12 to 15 minutes.
